Bülach is the main town and economic center of the district of the same name in the canton of Zurich. In 1980, burial pits from the Late Bronze Age were discovered in the area, suggesting that Bülach was already a settlement zone in prehistoric times. During the Roman Empire, there was a manor on the present-day city area.
Bülach was first mentioned in a document from the Abbey of St. Gallen in 811. The name mentioned in the document originally means "estate of Pullius." City rights and its own jurisdiction were granted in 1384. Today, approximately 19,000 people live in Bülach, with a quarter of them not holding Swiss citizenship.
The Cultural Award of the City of Bülach has been awarded annually since 1986. Among the recipients are, among others, dance teachers, orchestras, a trombone choir, and other musicians. Bülach is thus a strong supporter of music and dance.
Now the question is: Who will you take to the music and dance events in Bülach? Among the 19,000 people in Bülach, there is a dance partner for you with whom you can attend these events, as well as dance classes and learn new dances.
